Licensed Massage Therapist
Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

With 12 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I specialize in working on clients with chronic pain and muscle tension. I’m able to quickly zero in on the problem areas, and use effective techniques to encourage the muscles to relax and the body to move in a more fluid motion. My style of massage can be described as focused, intuitive, deeply relaxing and slow enough to allow the tissues to “melt down” at their own pace. I approach problem areas from several angles, and use whatever techniques will work best for your body. I am also big on client education–I love to pass along useful tips and great resources for self care between massages.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that the favorite part of my job is working one-on-one with people and deeply listening, not just with my ears, but with my hands as well. The body is amazing, and gives us so much information if we’re willing to pay attention.

I am a graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, and my background has been working in the spa industry. As a “spa trained” massage therapist, I enjoy bringing part of that world into your treatment. This may include aromatherapy, warm steamy towels, and of course using quality products that are good for your skin, comfy linens, and a space where you can really relax.

So, bring me your tight shoulders, your knotted up back and your aching hips and let’s see what we can do to make your body feel better than it has in a long time.

Nutritional Therapy

I am passionate about helping people bring back real food into their diet, and using Nutritional Therapy to address health issues and annoying everyday symptoms by restoring balance in the body. My focus is on strengthening the foundations of optimal health–digestion, blood sugar balance, fatty acids, minerals, hydration and the cornerstone: a nutrient dense diet.

Although I had always been interested in nutrition, about halfway into my massage career I began to really understand the role of inflammation in the body and its effect on chronic pain and tension. Nutrition was something that had made a huge difference in my own life, after dealing with years of health issues. Being a person that loves to learn, I decided my next step would be to get formally educated in the field of nutrition. The program I enrolled in was exactly what I was looking for, and in 2013 I graduated from the Nutritional Therapy Association, and am so excited to share with you what I have learned.

Nutritional Therapy goes beyond typical dietary counseling; by using a hands-on functional evaluation and other tools, I am able to customize a plan for your body’s unique needs as well as to your lifestyle. We’ll work at a pace that’s right for you, and I will give you tools and strategies to help you implement positive habits into your daily routine so you can reach your health goals.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation to see if working together would be a good fit. For more information click here.

A Little About Me

Originally from the Czech Republic, I have called Oregon home for the last 25 years. My family and I live here in Milwaukie, and when I’m not practicing massage or nutrition, you can find me in my kitchen or garden, hiking, taking road trips and exploring new places, or reading a great book. I look forward to meeting you!
